How to send an email to multiple recipients?

Posted by admin

I have had this account for years and just recently (during Yahoo changes) I was unable to send my emails to my entire distribution list as I usually do. This is extremely frustrating b/c it takes me twice as long to send group emails. I've created a contact list which has over 141 contacts. When I put the contact list in the bcc field, it give me the error: There was a problem!

Sorry, you have exceeded the maximum number of Bcc recipients. Please delete some email addresses and try again.

So… it makes it EXTREMELY difficult to send to multiple recipients in one email… impossible!! What I have to do, is go into my contact list and individually click the bcc box next to every contact i want in the email. 1/2 the time I take the time to do that and click "insert checked contacts", there are no contacts in the bcc box?? UGH!!! So, I send to one half of my contacts and it goes through fine the I try to send to the second half of my contact list and it won't let me for a hour

Yahoo has a limit of 100 addresses and no more than 50 can be to the same domain. I have heard of people having problems with a lot less addresses. You may want to try breaking down your list into 3 named groups and send out 3 emails.

If you do this regularly Yahoo will eventually hit you as a spammer. I think you could set up a YahooGroup,, and do this a lot easier.
